To the editor:
Recently, the Little Compton community came together in an effort to renovate the local playground. Volunteers spread 215 yards of playground mulch, relocation of site equipment, landscaping and removal of an existing walkway. These improvements will continue to create a safer environment for the students and community. I would like thank the following people for their generous time and efforts. Brendan Pineo, Kristen Moniz, Jack McKinnon, Tony Teixeira, Dave MacGregor, Ben Martin, Sean Martin, Kurtis Keohane, Jessica Higgins, Scott Higgins, Rick Doherty, Alli Shurtleff, Brian Perrott, Mike Rodrigues, Mark Gleicher, Lily Gleicher, Michelle McGaw, Sam Hussey, Sagkonate Garden Club and DaPonte Landscaping.
In the coming weeks, the WMS seventh and eighth grade will spread another 25 yards of playground mulch. This will help the school fulfill a school community project requirement, part of the International Baccalaureate Program.
