Discover winter's beauty during guided nature walks

Experience the winter beauty of the Doug Rayner Wildlife Refuge on guided walks in February. The refuge is located on Nockum Hill on a peninsula extending into the Barrington River and Hundred Acre Cove estuary. The hiking trails traverse more than 70 acres of field, forest and shoreline. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots. The walk will last about an hour. All ages are welcome.

WHAT: Free, guided walks

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m.; Sunday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 8 a.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m.

WHERE: Doug Rayner Wildlife Refuge, Barrington

COST: Free
