PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:
Wednesday, April 30
Felix Josue Ruiz Ocasio, 28, of 2368 East Main Road, Apt. H4, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery after being pulled over on East Main Road at BankNewport at about 1 a.m. During the vehicle stop, officers observed a domestic incident was taking place and Ruiz Ocasio was placed under arrest. He was also charged with reckless driving. The victim was a 63-year-old man from Portsmouth, according to police.
Paula M. Murdock, 69, of 28 Frigate St., Jamestown, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery after police were called to a 72-year-old Jepson Lane woman’s home around 9:10 a.m. The victim alleged she had walked past Murdock inside the home when Murdock forcibly pushed her down upon a large truck before she fell to the ground, police said.
Saturday, May 3
Zachary Mason Bidlack, 19, of 75 Bayview Park, Middletown, was charged with driving after his license had been suspended or revoked for a previous violation. He was pulled over on Fish Road in Tiverton at about 8:45 a.m.
Sunday, May 4
Cameron James Andrade, 31, of 5 Ledge Road, Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, after being pulled over for several motor vehicle violations on West Main Road at Freeborn Street around 12:40 a.m. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said.
Nelson Rivera, 38, of 36 Hawthorne St., Apt. 4, Chelsea, Mass., was arrested at about 3:20 a.m. while officers were conducting a property search of the Glen Manor House property. Officers found a vehicle parked in a lot illegally, and observed ammunition in plain view, police said. The vehicle’s owner was located on the fishing dock, with a concealed pistol in his waistband, said police, adding he was also heavily intoxicated. During a search of the vehicle, four more firearms along with loose ammunition were found, said police. Rivera was charged with carrying a weapon while intoxicated, and carrying a pistol without a license or permit. He was held overnight at the police station and later released on bail, police said.
