Eagles open season with double-digit victory over Chargers

BHS girls basketball plays Westerly on Monday night, Dec. 16

Riley Graveline finished with a double-double in points and rebounds and led the Barrington High School girls basketball team past Chariho 53-33 in the season-opener on Friday night, Dec. 13. 

Graveline scored 18 points and ripped down 10 rebounds to pace the Eagles, while Olivia Morrissette added 12 points and six steals. Ella Martin contribute seven points and eight rebounds for Barrington. 

Barrington held a 21-12 advantage against the Chargers at halftime, but used a 16-4 at the start of the second half to open a commanding lead. 

The Eagles, 1-0, were scheduled to host Westerly on Monday night in another Division I contest. Chariho, 0-2, were scheduled to host Coventry in a non-league game on Monday.
