Ryan Rigamonti scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the third quarter and helped lead the Barrington High School boys basketball team to a 66-40 win over Cumberland on Thursday night, Dec. 19.

Caleb Satisfield paced the Eagles’ first-half scoring. He scored 11 points before the halftime break, including eight in the first period, and finished the game with 16. Colin McDermott knocked down a pair of three-pointers and ended the game with 14 points.

Other Eagles to finish in the scoring column were Gabe Tostes (seven points), Colin Appleyard (four points), Alex Anderson (three points), and Jack Marley (two points).

Ben Jahnz scored 16 points and Dylan Briere added 15 to lead the Clippers.

The win pushed Barrington’s record to 2-0 — the Eagles opened the season with a 59-33 win over Shea.

The visiting Eagles used its pressure defense spearheaded by Owen Pfeffer to force a number of Raiders turnovers. Barrington led 18-6 after the first quarter. Shea only scored more seven points in one of the four quarters.

Rigamonti scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the first half to lead the way. Satisfield got the Eagles off to a flying start with their first made field goal of the season being his break-away slam dunk. Satisfield finished with 13 points. Tostes was 5-for-6 from the field and finished with 11 points.

Barrington will host Central on Saturday at 1 p.m., before traveling to East Providence on Monday, Dec. 23 for a 6:30 p.m. tip-off.
