Eagles rally for 16-point win against Wheeler

Rigamonti and McDermott fuel second-half comeback

The Barrington High School boys basketball team trailed early against Wheeler on Saturday, but battled back for a 60-44 victory. 

Tem minutes into the game the Eagles trailed 15-6, but Caleb Satisfield spurred a rally and by halftime the score was tied, 19-19. Satisfield scored six of Barrington's final 13 points of the half.  

Ryan Rigamonti and Colin McDermott each scored 16 points in the second half to propel the visitors, with Rigamonti doing his damage inside and McDermott swishing four of his five three-pointers over the last 16 minutes of the game. Rigamonti finished with a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds. McDermott scored 21 and Satisfied added 15 points. Alex Anderson pulled down 8 rebounds.

Drew Herren had a team high 17 points for the Warriors.  

Earlier in the week, Barrington used its pressure defense to score the first 13 points of the game, then withstood a few Lincoln runs, as McDermott's three-pointer with 3:05 remaining pushed the Eagles lead to 50-43, before finally defeating the Lions 62-50.  

Rigamonti played a strong inside game for the home team and scored 22 points. Satisfield scored eight of his 18 points in the final period, McDermott added 10 and Anderson netted eight points. 

Barrington’s record is now 11-4.
