The Barrington High School baseball team swept Moses Brown in back-to-back games this week.

The Eagles defeated the Quakers 3-2 at home on Tuesday, April 22 and won 7-0 in Providence on Wednesday, April 23. 

Barrington’s Jack Lawson pitched a complete game one-hitter on Wednesday. The senior struck out seven Quakers and walked two. 

Lucas Tanous and Christopher Promades powered Barrington’s offense. Tanous, hitting lead-off, went 3-for-4 with two doubles. He also drove in two runs and scored twice. Promades, batting second in the lineup, went 2-for-4 with a double. He drove in three runs and scored once. 

Cole Kepner went 2-for-3 and scored two runs, while Miles Fontaine went 2-for-4, with an RBI. The Eagles finished the game with nine hits.

In Tuesday’s showdown, Barrington out-hit Moses Brown 8-7, with the Dolan brothers leading the charge for the Eagles. Senior Blake Dolan went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while his younger brother Miles went a perfect 2-for-2. 

Tanous went 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored, while Fontaine had a hit and drove in a run and David Redmond had a hit and scored a run. Santino Giuffrido also had a hit and Promades drove in a run.

Barrington’s Alex Anderson struck out 10 batters in six innings of work. He allowed one earned run while limiting Moses Brown to six hits. Nate Coutant pitched the seventh inning and struck out two Quakers. 

Barrington improved to 7-2.
