Emily Morrow, 83, Tiverton

Posted

Emily (Ferreira) Morrow, age 83, of Tiverton, earned her angel wings on Monday, April 12, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond J. Morrow.

Emily was a lifelong resident of Tiverton, born to Alfred and Emily Ferreira. Growing up, many knew her by her nickname, Midge.

Emily stayed at home to raise her children until all were in school. She poured her heart and soul into her family and her community. She was an active PTA member. Emily was a lifelong member of Holy Ghost Parish, serving as a CCD teacher and member of the Women’s Guild. She was also on the Altar and Rosary Societies.

Over her working career, many remember her from working at Grand Central Market and Puerini’s, both located in Tiverton. After retirement, Emily dedicated more than 15 years to the Tiverton school system, spending countless hours volunteering at Pocasset School until the COVID shutdown last year.

She leaves behind three devoted daughters, Theresa Canulla (husband Marcus), Joyce Johnson (husband Mark), and Raeann Morrow (companion Thomas Kaminski). She delighted in being “Grammy” to granddaughters Megan Remmes (husband Robert) and Laura Oliveira (husband Adam), and great grandsons Robert and Benjamin Remmes. She was the sister of Cheryl (Ferreira) Trenholme (husband Bruce)."

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Emily, may be made to the charity of your choice.

Services were held under the direction of the Oliveira Funeral Homes.
