The Federal Hill Commerce Association presents the 30th annual Columbus Day Festival on historic Federal Hill in Providence from Friday to Monday, Oct. 7 to 10. The festival takes place from Dean Street to Sutton Street along Atwells Avenue.
This year’s festival will feature the La Cucina Galbani Cooking Stage each day located at America Street and Atwells Avenue. CLICK HERE TO VIEW CHEF DEMONSTRATION SCHEDULE
Guests can experience the tastes of more than 25 Federal Hill restaurants that have expanded seating or are offering additional menu items. Some of the participants include Bacco Vino & Contorni, Zooma, Venda Ravioli, Saje Kitchen, Captain Louie’s, Federal Hill Taphouse, Don Joses, and Providence Oyster Bar. Check out dozens of food, art and retail vendors, games, and amusement rides. Listen to live entertainment on four different stages throughout the festival grounds. A full entertainment schedule will be announced soon.
The festival begins on Friday at 5 p.m. until midnight. From Saturday to Sunday, the hours are 11 a.m. - midnight. And on Monday, the hours are 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Dean to Street to Lily Street along Atwells Avenue will be closed each day of the festival. CLICK HERE FOR THIS YEAR’S ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE
This year’s opening ceremony is at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the DePasquale Plaza stage. On Sunday, Oct. 9, the annual Columbus Day Parade kicks things off at 11 a.m. The parade route is from Harris Avenue to Dean Street along Atwells Avenue. This entire area will be closed to vehicle traffic during the time of the parade.
