Barrington Pop Warner and Barrington Flag Football hosted “Championship Sunday” late last month at Chianese Field.

Twenty-four teams competed for the five division championships — 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U.

At the end of day, the Chargers, Patriots, 49ers, Vikings and Steelers had each won titles.

In the 6U Division, the Chargers, coached by Harry Sprague, capped an impressive season with a win in the finals. The Chargers faced stiff competition from the Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos during the regular season and in the playoffs.

In the 8U Division, the Patriots, coached by Tristan Doucette, Ryan Callahan and Gunner Haas, captured the title with a win over the Bills in the finals. The Patriots were tested all year by the Bills, Jets and Dolphins.

The 49ers, led by Coaches Tony Figliola and Matt DiOrio, won the 10U Division title. The 49ers capped an impressive run to the title by defeating the Cowboys in the finals. The Seahawks, Rams, Cardinals, Commanders, Giants and Eagles also put forth great efforts in the playoffs and during the regular season.

In the 12U Division, the Vikings, coached by Cody Landry and Patrick Carter, powered to the championship title. The Vikings faced excellent competition throughout the season in the Lions, Bears and Packers.

In the 14U Division, the Steelers and their coaches Henry McClelland and his brother Ben McClelland went undefeated and knocked off the Browns in the finals. The Bengals and Ravens also played hard during the regular season and on Championship Sunday.
