Frank Wheeler Eighme, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. He was the husband of the late Kathryn (Asbury) Eighme.
Born in Providence, RI, son of Maurice Edward and Eleanor Anne (Wheeler) Eighme, Frank grew up in Barrington, RI. That is, if he ever grew up — one of his more endearing qualities. After graduating from Bowdoin College, he became an officer in the Navy, where he gave his service in southeast Asia and was honorably discharged in San Diego. Frank stayed in California and worked as personnel manager for the Coast Guard, a job he took a great deal of pride in.
Frank loved ball sports, especially baseball, basketball, and golf. In California, he converted his passion to beach volleyball. He loved the sun!
Frank is survived by his brothers, Scott and Greg, his nephews, Justin and Maurice, and step-sons Dennis "Charlie" and Mark Dease.
A small funeral service has been held.
