Free family fun at Bristol Audubon Center

The Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium in Bristol is open free to the public on the first Saturday of each month. Join Audubon for nature stories, animal discoveries, hikes, and more.

This Saturday, activities include a nature craft table from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a nature story at 10 a.m., an animal interview from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and at 1 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to craft their own unique creature  collage using physical adaptations from wild animals found in Rhode Island! Registration is not required and all ages are welcomed.

WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 7; 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
