The Imago Foundation for the Arts welcomes Enigmatica on Sunday, April 6, at the gallery in Warren. Show time is 4 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Enigmatica is a mandolin ensemble, described as sparkling, effervescent, fluid, precise, and joyous, based in New England and directed by Marilynn Mair. Part chamber orchestra and part plucked-string double-quartet, Enigmatica performs a variety of music: Baroque, Brazilian, eclectic contemporary, and Americana music written by group members and friends. The ensemble features instruments of the mandolin family — mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin, and 6- and 7-string guitars.

Enigmatica has presented its unique blend of chamber music in concert series throughout New England, including performances at the New England Conservatory, the SummerKeys Concert Series in Maine, Blithewold Mansion, the Providence Athenaeum, Roger Williams University, and Providence’s celebrated WaterFire, and has released 5 acclaimed CDs in their 24 years together.

Admission is $20.

Tickets are available at the door or may be purchased in advance on EventBrite at: https://enigmaticaatimago.eventbrite.com.
