James Alan Davis, 69, of Warren passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, in his home. The son of the late Clifford and Grace (Hardigan) Davis, he was a lifelong resident of Warren. He was the husband of Denise Wygant, having spent 33 wonderful years together.

James enlisted in the Army following high school where he spent the next few years. He then went on the start his own business, James Davis Construction, where he worked until his retirement. He loved to travel with his family and wanted to make sure that his son got to experience everything he possibly could in his youth. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and spending his weekends in Misquamicut.

In addition to his loving wife, Denise, James is survived by his step-son, Ken Wygant and his wife Braylin of Warren; his step-daughter, Shannon Bennett and her husband Frank of Tiverton; his sister, Janet Medeiros of Alabama; his four grandchildren, Dylan Wygant, Mason Bennett, Nora Bennett and Arya Wygant, and his three nieces, Jessica Medeiros-Garrison, Michele Mederios-Gravois and Tanya Manchester. He was the father of the late Nicholas Davis and the brother of the late Bruce Edward Davis.
