John T. Ratier of Bonita Springs, Fla.

John (Jack) T. Ratier of Bonita Springs, Fla., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, surrounded by his sons after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Irene and Alfred Ratier. He grew up in Warren, R.I. and spent many years living in Bristol before he moved to Bonita Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, and four sons, John, Stephen, William and Thomas. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was proceeded in death by his sister, Joan R. Rogers, this past January.

Mr. Ratier spent most of his career working in Industrial Engineering at Hasbro in Pawtucket, R.I. He was a graduate of Holy Cross College in 1954.

During his time in Bristol he was involved in many different civic activities, including the Bristol YMCA Board of Directors, Bristol Town Budget Committee, Past President of the Hopeworth Community Association, and the Bristol Fourth of July Committee.

In his retirement he spent most of his time building and racing Model Sailboats with a number of groups throughout southwest Florida.

A private funeral will be held in Rhode Island at a later date.
