Joseph Alexander Costa III, 67, Warren

Joseph Alexander Costa III, 67, of Warren and formerly of Bristol, passed away on Feb. 15, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. He was the partner of Joan Asciolla.

Born in Fall River, Mass., Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Santos) Costa. He was the brother of: Cheryl (Sean) Dugan of Bristol; Linda (Gary) Jennings of Bristol; Marilyn Costa of Bristol; Robert Costa of Bristol; Susan (Joe) Constancia of Bristol; Marianne (Fred) Constancia of Bristol; Lori (Billy) Acciardo of Bristol; and Louis (Delores) Costa of Bristol. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Bobbie Joe Palmer, Steven Lemire, Donald Castigliego, Lauren Jennings Cabral, Erica Federico, Gary Pike, Robert Cabral, Marissa Constancia, Joseph Constancia, Stephanie Raposo, Louis Costa, Emily Costa and was the great-uncle to 12 great-nephews and nieces. He was the stepfather of Joseph (Erin) Asciolla of Bristol, and step-grandfather of Thomas Asciolla, Patrick Asciolla, and Joseph Asciolla.

Joseph was educated in Bristol and employed as a forklift operator for National Lumber for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of the Cup Defenders Association, and an avid fan of both the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He enjoyed his daily trips to Colt Drive to watch the morning sunrise and loved feeding both birds and squirrels. He was an avid listener of classic rock music and also leaves behind his beloved dog, Lulu.
