July 4th Concert Series changing venue

Safety, accessibility forces venue change to RWU

Camille Teixeira, General Chairman of the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, released the following letter on Friday, January 24:

To the Community and Supporters of the Bristol 4th of July Concert Series,

We are excited to announce that, after a vote by our committee in November, the Bristol 4th of July Concert Series will be moving to Roger Williams University. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Roger Williams University for graciously offering to host us on their beautiful grounds.

This decision was made with careful consideration, prioritizing security, safety, and emergency access, as well as accommodations for large crowds. By relocating to Roger Williams University, we will be able to provide more accessible parking, with over 800 available spaces, and improved accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the vendor area will be conveniently located near the fields, ensuring an easy and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

We understand that this will be a change, but we are confident that the new layout will provide a better flow and improved logistics compared to our previous time at Roger Williams University. The concert series will take place on the upper field, with vendors placed nearby, making food and refreshments easily accessible.

As a team of dedicated volunteers, we work tirelessly to keep this beloved celebration alive, putting in long hours with great heart and commitment. We appreciate your continued support and patience as we strive to make this year’s concert series a memorable, SAFE, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

We look forward to celebrating with you all!

Sincerely,

Camille Teixeira
