Julia Keating, Courtnie Smith and the first and second doubles teams all won their matches at the Tigers beat Providence Country Day 4-2 in the Division 3 semifinals at Slater Park on Tuesday afternoon. Tiverton moves on to face the winner of Coventry and EWG in the state championship at Slater Park on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Keating, the Tigers’ second singles player, beat Eloise Weatherby in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Smith, the third singles player, handily beat Juliana Pinto 6-2, 6-3.

Tigers’ first doubles team of Caroline Durost and Lia Doster won a first set tie breaker 7-6 (7-6) and took the second set 6-4 for the win over PCD’s Mays Miller and Bowen Hollerback.

Second doubles team Carly Sanna and Angelleena Cordeiro broke through in the first set with a 6-4 win, then won a second set tie breaker 7-6 (7-4) over Allison Bromberg and Hannah Eno.

Tigers’ first singles player Lexi Boissonneau fell to Qingyang Xie 6-2, 6-0. The third singles team of Sophia Han and Juniper Merkle lost to Avery Pisaturo and Emmy Turnbull 7-5, 6-4.

Fourth singles player Brook Sowa was mired in a three setter 5-7, 6-4, when the Tigers' broke through and won the match.
