Jourdan Cicchinelli won the girls' long jump title with a leap of 15 feet, 7.25 inches at the 2025 middle school state outdoor track and field championships held Sunday afternoon, June 1,  in Johnston.

Cicchinelli had a fine all-around day. She also ran fifth in the girls' 100 hurdles with an 18 flat.  In the field as well, Cicchinelli, Flynn Hancock and Daniella Jaja shared third place in the girls' high jump at 4'4." Cicchinelli was also seventh in the shot put with a throw of 28'3."

Also for KMS Sofenne Schofield was  third in the 400 with a 1:00.68 and fourth in the 200 with a 27.82. She added a  sixth in the long jump at 13'11" and a seventh in the girls' 100-meter dash with a 13.96.

For the KMS boys, Kai Wilford ran sixth in the 100 hurdles at 17.68 and Chase Aiksonoras was seventh in the boys' 800 with a 2:25.87.

The KMS girls' 4x400 relay team of Jaja, Makenna Butterworth, Rosalie Ignacio and Lyla Toevs was third in 4:32.36 while the boys' quartet of Aiksonoras, Wilford, Gavin Pires and Dylan Cirillo placed seventh in 4:22.33.

As a team, the KMS girls placed third with 50 points behind the winners from Broad Rock (South Kingstown) with 67 and Barrington with 52. The Huskies tallied seven points to place 25th in the boys' team ranks, which Chariho won with 45.
