Letter: Big thanks to Westport fire and highway departments

Posted

We want to thank the Westport Fire Department for their dedication and sacrifice in fighting the brush fire on our property Friday, April 14. They spent four hours extinguishing the fire and making sure our house was not involved. Our thanks to the Westport Highway Department who assisted by cutting down several large trees. And we are grateful to the person who reported the fire. Without a quick response the outcome could have been much worse.
