Letter: Mayor made correct choice for new EPPD chief
To the editor:
It was a tribute to the East Providence Police Department that Mayor DaSilva promoted the next Chief of Police from within the ranks of the department.
One of the many responsibilities a Chief Police has is to train the people under him for their fitness to command.
Deputy Chief Chris Francesconi meets that challenge and will maintain the existing high standards that makes the EPPD one of the finest in the state.
