Letter: 'Taliban' letter was insulting to so many people

I’m writing in response to George Burman and his comparing the Taliban to MAGA hat-wearing Trump supporters. Mr. Burman, I will not have you insulting my friends, equating them with the Taliban.

I know many good people who wore those hats and who simply wanted to make America great again after Obama’s disastrous eight years in office. You got something against America being great?

I’m not defending what happened at the Capitol, but you seem to be forgetting things like what happened in Seattle when Antifa took over six blocks of that city. And how the Democrat mayor when asked how long she was going to let it go on quipped, “maybe we’ll have a summer of love.” Big joke, huh? Where’s your outrage for that? That was the real insurrection that should have been crushed by force.

And all the other cities where Antifa and BLM burned and destroyed businesses, police stations, government buildings, etc. And what did our vice president Kamala Harris do? Raised money to bail those criminals out of jail. Shame on her. That’s right, ignore all that.

People like you are the reason this country is so polarized. Finally in your blind hatred of anything Trump, you also insulted people who wear turbans. Not everyone who wears turbans are terrorists. Once again a progressive steps forward to demonstrate how intolerant and racist the left really is.
