In response to: Should the next town manager be a Barrington resident?
The next town manager should absolutely live in the town of Barrington. It would be understandable that this person may not be from Barrington and will move to the town once selected. Furthermore, the pay scale is plenty of income for an incoming town manager to reside in town. Much like the President of the United States, who must be an American citizen, take up residence in the White House, in the country he/ she governs. So too, the next town manager should be a citizen of the town of Barrington and take up residence in town. That would be like saying it would be OK for President Biden to have his home in a foreign country while governing the United States. It is just plain common sense.
