Lois Ann (Guptill) Goulart “Tookey”, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, and formerly of Little Compton, Rhode Island, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022. Lois was born January 25, 1945, to Samuel N. and Minnie (Woodman) Guptill in Bath, Maine. She never met a stranger, loved God and life, and was a self-proclaimed ‘survivor’.

She wore many hats, including homemaker, professional cake decorator, owner of a housecleaning business, home health aide, and assembly worker at Taylor Box. She was a founding member of the Little Compton Community Center, a 52-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a Past Worthy Matron of the Mt. Hope Chapter of OES in Bristol.

Lois is survived by her brother, Bruce Bean, six children, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Alexandre H. Goulart, Jr., and her ex-husband, Joaquim “Jackie” Medeiros.

A service was held at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes in Greenville, S.C., on Jan. 23. Her full obituary may be found at https://thomasmcafee.com/obituary/lois-goulart/.

An additional service will be held in Little Compton, R.I. this summer. Information will be posted at a future date.
