Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Frederick and Joan (Rene) Jannitto. He was the beloved husband of Megan Rossi-Jannitto. Chris lived most of his life in Warren but also lived in Lincoln and Bristol.

Chris was a member of the Providence Fire Department for 30 years. Before his death he was a Lieutenant on Engine 13. He had also belonged to Engines 8, 2 and 12 as well as the Special Hazards. Chris played hockey on the Providence Fire Department’s team for several years. When he wasn’t saving lives, “Trigger” as he was known to his friends, enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding on the Kickemuit River and spending time with his friends and family. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. His engaging personality, quick wit, and infectious smile will never be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to know him.

Jannitto, a Battalion Chief also serving the Providence Fire Department and his wife Pamela; his niece, Alicia Jannitto, and his nephew, Micheal Jannitto, all of Bristol.
