Come feel like a Free Bird at The Courthouse Center for the Arts! Watch this awesome group of musicians bring the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd back to life. While you are at it, enjoy our full bar as well as plentiful free parking! Tuesday may be Gone but you can still come on down for this Saturday Night Special. Doors open at 7pm with an 8pm showtime. We cannot wait to see you there!

Created from All of the very best Skynyrd players from different tribute bands brought together to form 1 band to do what they do best . . . playing Lynyrd Skynyrd music as a collective force. They are currently featured performing in the Netflix Emmy Award Nominated Movie Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt vs. the Reverend written and produced by Tina Fey.

They also have some great guest appearances at their shows by some of the other truly amazing musicians around – and its always a surprise because you just never know who’s gonna show up!

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
