Maria da Pedra (Furtado) Lima, 76, of 72 Perry St., Bristol, passed away on May 30, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the wife of Jorge Lima.

Born in Ribeira Seca, Villa Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Esmaria (Raposa) Furtado. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Stephen Lima of Bristol and George Lima of Warren; and granddaughters, Sabrina Lima and Brianna Lima. She was the sister of John Furtado, Esmaria Medeiros, Maria do Carmo Rego and the late Albertina Raposa.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          She was educated in Portugal and employed by Carol Cable and Hodges Badge before retiring. She was a proud American citizen who loved cooking for her family and especially her granddaughters.

Her funeral services were held June 2 from the George Lima Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were John Camelo, Mike Camelo, Kevin Pires, Thomas Davenport, Gilbert Almeida and Richard Costa.
