Oxen Weekend at Coggeshall Farm

Come to Coggeshall Farm Museum and experience what life was like on an 18th-century farm, complete with a pair of visiting oxen! Jim and Bev Gould will be spending the weekend at the farm with their Old Ayrshire oxen, Ned and Buster. Together, they will demonstrate some of the tasks that oxen and their teamsters would have tended to on the farm in the 1790s. Watch the pair hard at work and have all of your oxen questions answered!

Guests can also meet our sheep, pigs, and chickens, play simple games, explore our nature trails, and more.
