Barrington celebrated Memorial Day with ceremonies at Victory Gate and Barrington Town Hall and a parade.
The events started with a wreath-laying ceremony at Victory Gate, that included the raising of the flag, invocation, roll call of deceased veterans, and musical tributes including TAPS and “Amazing Grace.”
There was a parade that traveled from Barrington High School along Upland Way, Barrington Avenue, and Maple Avenue, and finished in front of Barrington Town Hall.
And Memorial Day events culminated with a formal ceremony on the Barrington Town Hall lawn.
