Sowams was the area occupied by the Massasoit whose leadership extended over approximately 60 tribes, bands and clans throughout southeastern Massachusetts and what is modern day Bristol County, R.I.

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Burr’s Hill Park, South Water Street, Warren
COST: Free; free parking at Water and Campbell streets and at the Franklin Street Park-N-Ride.
