Police: Man was intoxicated when he drove to police station

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Christopher Paul Lagasse, 39, of 12 Statue Way, was arrested at his home at 10:35 a.m. on a 2nd District Court bench warrant for a technical violation that occurred more than a year previously, police said. 

Thursday, Nov. 14

Michael J. Jacques, 46, of 101 Widnstone Drive, was charged with issuing fraudulent checks totally more than $1,000. Jacques turned himself in at the police station around 3:40 p.m. after an affidavit warrant had been issued, police said.

Paul George Costa, 53, of 21 San Juan Drive, Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, at about 7:20 p.m. According to police, the arrest was made after Costa drove to the police station to provide more information regarding a previous, unrelated incident. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said. 

Michael Joseph Greb, 31, of 46 New Road, Pittsfield, Mass., was charged at about 8:35 p.m. with DUI, first offense, following a motor vehicle accident in the area of West Main Road and Raytheon. Greb was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, his second offense.

Kobe B. Daggett, 23, of 57 Norseman Drive, was charged at his home around 9:45 p.m. with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property. According to police, Daggett had broken the driver’s side mirror and ripped the windshield wiper shifter out of the steering column of a vehicle owned by a 22-year-old Portsmouth woman. 

Saturday, Nov. 16

Orlando J. Rebelo De Andrade, 44, of 16 Saint Elizabeth St., Bristol, was charged with DUI, first offense, after officers responded to Route 24 to investigate a report of an active car fire around 5:10 p.m. He was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, according to police.
