PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High girls’ varsity basketball team lost to Barrington 59-49 in a Division I home game on Monday night.
The team is now 1-4 overall as it starts a string of Division I games.
Junior forward Emily Maiato and sophomore guard Olivia Durant led the Patriots in scoring, with 15 points each.
Sophomore guard Ava Moore netted 12 points, Kaitlin Roche scored 4 and Keira Rogers scored 3.
The Patriots were scheduled to play South Kingstown at home on Wednesday, Jan. 5 (after The Portsmouth Times’ deadline).
The team will host Classical on Friday, Jan. 7, and St. Raphael Academy on Tuesday, Jan. 11. All games start at 7 p.m.
