Ruth F. Pelchat, 97, of New Orleans, La.

Ruth F. Pelchat of 2500 Octavia St., New Orleans, La., died at home Feb. 15, 2022, at age 97. Mrs. Pelchat was a resident of Warren for 69 years, moving to New Orleans in 2016.

She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Bay until leaving Warren. Grandchildren and gardening were her enjoyments.

Mrs Pelchat was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence J. Pelchat. Surviving are her son, Donald J. Pelchat of New Orleans, three grandchildren, Rebecca Morris, Errol Pelchat and Ross Pelchat, and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pelchat was the daughter of Elmore G. and Abbie C. ( Bean) Blinn. She is sister to the late Helen, Fred, Edmund and James Blinn.

Ruth Pelchat was a graduate of Sturdy Memorial Nursing School in Attleboro Massachusetts. As an RN, she worked at Hattie Ide Chaffee Home in East Providence, R.I., until her retirement. Burial will be in New Hampshire.
