Scott A. Bento Sr., 56, of Rumford, died Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing Home. He was the husband of Lisa (Rodrigues) Bento.
Scott was born in New Bedford, Ma., a son of Eileen ( Bento) Witkos of Warren. He was a Maintenance worker for the Wyndham Bay Voyage Inn in Jamestown.
Mr. Bento had lived in Rumford for 10 years, coming from Kissimmee, Florida, Glocester, and Warren, RI. He was a member of the Bethany Church of the Nazarene in Rumford.
Scott loved music and was in several bands over the years. He enjoyed playing the guitar, keyboard and also singing. He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Head Start, and he loved going on thrill rides with his family and the Disney Parks.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Scott A Bento Jr. of Rumford, Skyler S. Bento of Rumford, Ashley Bento of Barrington, Amber Bento and her fiance` Nick of Barrington, Brittany Bento of Providence and Hailey Bento of Rumford.
Scott was the grandfather of Nicholas Crevier. He was the grandson of the late Mary G. Bento.
His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a funeral service at 11:00 am in the Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1275 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford, RI. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, 150 Newman Avenue, Rumford.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday from 4-7pm and Tuesday from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
