Both handmade items and vintage items will be available at this year's annual Bristol Vintage Market

A few weeks ago, this disheartening message was sent to all vintage market enthusiasts: “Due to the weather forecast for this weekend, which includes the potential for rain and high winds, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the vintage market at Mount Hope Farm.”

Sometimes, a unique way to spend the day is in order — and what’s more unique than perusing vintage items outdoors in nice weather? Well, the hope is that this weekend will bring just that, so the third annual Bristol Vintage Market won’t have to be postponed again.

It all began over a conversation between Jenna Kinghorn of Blanc & Bleu and Katie Blais of Mount Hope Farm in 2023. Jenna and Katie wanted to create something like the vintage bazaar that takes place north of Boston and thought the pasture on the farm would be the perfect spot — and as it turns out, they were right.

Similar to a summer farmers’ market, the event is set up outdoors. But instead of focusing on fresh produce and baked goods, this market features unique vintage finds and handmade goods. Shoppers will be able to browse booths offering styles including farmhouse, coastal, mid-century modern, European, traditional, and more.

There will also be live music: Dan Ferrazoli will perform on Saturday, and The Whelks on Sunday. A variety of food and beverage options will be available as well, including Charcuterie Kreations, Matilda Empanadas (Saturday), No Joke Smoke BBQ (Sunday), Mason & Twine, and Two Gal Cocktails. To top it off, the farmers’ market will also be running on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

What started as a small (unique) event in 2023 has grown into something much bigger, with the hope that it will continue to grow more each year. Learn more or purchase tickets online or at the event and spend a day (or two) outside at this unique event (weather permitting).
