Susan J. Anderson, 74, Rehoboth

Susan J. Anderson, 74, of Rehoboth, died March 9, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the wife of the late G. James Anderson, III. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Weston C. Haskell and Constance M. (McKenney) Haskell.

Susan was a graduate of Sturdy Hospital School of Nursing, working as a Registered Nurse working in private practice and nursing homes for many years until her retirement. She was a Communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Providence. She was an avid golfer, member of the Norton Country Club, and lifelong member of Briggs Beach Association in Little Compton.

She leaves her loving children: Derek A. Anderson and his wife Julie of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Laurie A. Anderson of Little Compton. Cherished grandmother of Tessa A. Anderson and Maeve O. Anderson. She was the sister of Stephen Haskell of Rehoboth and the late William Coburn.

Her Requiem Eucharist will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 1 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, 175 Matthewson St., Providence, followed by burial in Rehoboth Village Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, P.O. Box 808, Hudson, MA 01749 will be appreciated.
