The ‘Becorns’ have returned to Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum in Bristol. Created by David Bird, a photographer based in Danielson, Conn., the Becorns are characters made out of acorns, sticks, and whatever else he finds in the back yard.
He then photographs the Becorns in the wild with real animals. Most of these photos are the result of a careful study of animal behavior, patience, and a lot of birdseed.
The exhibit is open for the next month, through Oct. 16, at Blithewold. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesdays to Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
