A caller told police that kids were vandalizing trees at the Pocasset School playground. Police observed no damage, but spoke to them.

Tuesday, Sept. 14

Ashley B. Lake, 28, of North Dartmouth, was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, BAC unknown, after police pulled her over on Route 24 at 12:58 a.m.

A loose dog call came in from Crandall Road just after 8 a.m. Twenty-four minutes later, a similar call came in from North Brayton Road.

Police responded to Seapowet Avenue for a complaint from a resident that a neighbor was putting things on his lawn.

A complaint came in from Bulgarmarsh Road, after a remote control car damaged the real thing after colliding with it while it was parked.

A caller complained that someone was dumping tires in the woods off Bay Street.

David C. Buxbaum, 51, of Tiverton, was charged with domestic simple assault and/or battery, and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Grinnell Avenue at 7:57 p.m. for a report that a man had struck a woman.

Amanda A. Mason, 28, of Tiverton, was arrested on a warrant out of another jurisdiction, following a warrant check.

Kortney R. Sevigny, 31, of Tiverton, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Second Division District Court.

Wednesday, Sept. 15

Leah G. Lapointe, 27, of Fall River, was charged with domestic simple assault and/or battery, after they were called to Bulgarmarsh Road at 12:05 a.m. for a report of a woman who had assaulted her ex-boyfriend.

Police were called to State Avenue at 12:18 p.m. for a report of harassment.

Portsmouth police alerted Tiverton officers to a car speeding at upwards of 100 miles per hour on Route 24 just after 4 p.m.

Alex C. Briggs, 26, of Providence, was charged with domestic violation of a no contact order, third or subsequent offense, reckless driving, second offense, and driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, third or subsequent offense, after police pulled him over on Route 24 at 5:38 p.m.

A caller from Canonicus Street told police that a car radio was playing loudly, with no one in the car.

Thursday, Sept. 16

William R. Freeman, 69, of Tiverton, was charged with trespassing after police after a constable asked for police assistance in serving an eviction notice on Randolph Avenue.

Shoplifting was reported at a pharmacy on Main Road just before 6 p.m.

Illegal dumping was reported on Campion Avenue.

A Holly Circle resident called police just after 10 p.m. to complain about youths knocking on doors. Police spoke to them; they were looking for a lost dog.

Friday, Sept. 17

Police were called to Kitchener Street for a neighborhood dispute over loud music.

A Tack Sisson Terrace resident reported an Internet scam.

Devin S. Costa, 37, of Tiverton, was charged with being a fugitive from justice after a warrant check at 3:27 p.m.

A lost dog call came in from Isabella Avenue.

A Holly Circle resident asked to file a no trespass order.

A car struck a deer on Main Road just after 8:30 p.m., injuring it. Police noted the deer later fled the scene.

Saturday, Sept. 18

A noise complaint came in from Pelletier Lane just before 1 a.m.

Nicky Wilson, 41, of Attleboro, Ma., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving after the denial, suspension or revocation of his license, after police pulled him over on Tiverton Casino Boulevard at 11:36 a.m.

A harassment call came in from Beth Road just after noon.

A fireworks complaint called in from Fogland Beach at 8:43 p.m. fizzled out — police said it was just heat lightning.

Portsmouth police officers notified their counterparts in Tiverton to a car driving in excess of 100 miles per hour on Route 24.

Sunday, Sept. 19

A landlord-tenant issue on Fish Road was called in just before 10 a.m.

A caller told police that a man was smoking a joint on Bulgarmarsh Road at 4:21 p.m. It was just a cigarette, police noted.

Police were called to Bulgarmarsh Road for an animal complaint.

Isaiah Thomas Lopes, 25, of Tiverton, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct, second offense, after police were called to Cook Street by his grandmother.

Monday, Sept. 20

Derek V. Pereira, 35, of Westport, was charged with driving without consent of the owner, and Scott Kenneth Rogers, 35, of Westport, with possession of a controlled substance, after police investigated a complaint that two men appeared to be smoking a crack pipe in a car parked in a Tiverton Casino Hotel parking lot at 5:53 a.m.

A caller told police that a woman on a bike, clad in Army fatigues, was taking photos of the neigbhorhood on Main Street.
