Townies beat Prout, improve to 9-3
The East Providence varsity volleyball team beat Prout 3-1 (25-19, 24-26, 25-5 and 25-22) during a home match last Wednesday night. The win improved the Townies record to 9-3.
Eliza Vest and Vivian Bernhardt played well on both offense and defense for the Townies. Vest made 9 kills, 10 digs and 3 aces, while Bernhardt made 8 kills, 6 aces and 7 digs.
The Townies played again on Tuesday night, beating South Kingstown High School in an away match 3-2, bringing the overall record up to 10-3.
