Westport has two new police officers. Probationary officers Andrew Silva (left) and Justin DeSilva graduated Friday from the MPTC Police Academy in Plymouth following 22 weeks of training; during Friday’s commencement ceremony, DeSilva was additionally honored with the ‘Top Driver award.’ They wasted no time getting to work — Silva and DeSilva were both in uniform Monday and will now undergo 12 weeks of field training with veteran Westport officers.
