Vivian A. (Trombley) Lombardi, 87, of Warren, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Louis Lombardi Sr.

Born in Warren, RI, she was the daughter of the late Adelard G. and Florida (Lemieux) Trombley.

Vivian was a lifelong Warren resident and a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church.

Mrs. Lombardi loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three sons, Louis Lombardi Jr., of Warren, Robert Lombardi of Harrisville, and Edward Lombardi of Warren; and three daughters, Susan Conti of Barrington, Debra Turnbull of Warren and Patricia Barnes of Warwick. She was the grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 12. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late George Trombley.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 13, at 9 am from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren, RI. Burial will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Greenlawn Avenue, Warren, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Monday, April 12, 2021 from 7 to 9 pm.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
