The Town of Barrington and community partners will celebrate the revitalization of Walker Farm on Saturday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration will feature a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new viewing platform, followed by music and complimentary refreshments.
On the land, there will be coastal-themed craft tables, lawn games, and an ice cream truck.
On the water, families can explore Hundred Acre Cove, with kayak and paddleboard rentals as well as learn-to-row opportunities off the newly installed dock.
The Walker Farm revitalization project included the restoration of ecological function and habitats, improved access to the shoreline, infrastructure upgrades to help improve resilience to flooding and storm events, and improving recreational and educational facilities.
