A suitcase was reportedly stolen from a property on Main Street at 10:21 a.m.

A Metacom Avenue resident reported at 6:11 p.m. they had been victimized by a scam that took all their money.

Police dispersed an unruly passenger from a RIPTA bus at 11:03 p.m. who refused to pay.

Tuesday, May 16
A resident on Asylum Road reported that a fellow resident had installed a homemade speed bump of sorts in front of their property. Police assisted in removing it at 8:59 a.m. and advised the resident.

Animal control picked up a deceased groundhog from the sidewalk on Metacom Avenue at 12:15 p.m.

A stolen bicycle was reported on Market Street at 1:12 p.m.

A Main Street resident reported a scam involving threats at 2:25 p.m.

An anonymous tip reported that juveniles were throwing “chunks of wood” at playground equipment on Main Street at 5:56 p.m. Police checked the area and found no juveniles or damage to the playground.

Bristol PD informed Warren of a stolen car that had been taken from the Metacom Avenue area at 9:08 p.m.

Wednesday, May 17
A panhandling man at Main and Child Streets was reported at 1:02 p.m. but he was gone when police arrived.

Fire volunteers knocked down a mulch fire at Kickemuit Road and William Street at 1:46 p.m.

A caller reported that a tree branch fell on their vehicle on Main Street around 3:34 p.m. and had damaged it.

Detectives were reportedly investigating an alleged assault that took place at Kickemuit Middle School.

Police spoke to the operators of bikes who were reportedly “racing up and down” Middle Street around 5:54 p.m.

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on Main Street at 10:15 p.m. after being stopped by police while operating a vehicle recklessly. They were charged with operating a vehicle without a license (first offense).

Thursday, May 18
Maura Carroll, 35, of Warren, was arrested at 1:01 a.m. near Metacom Avenue and Laurel Lane following a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. She was arraigned and released later that morning.

An accident at Main and Liberty Streets was reported at 7:56 a.m. that resulted in the operator being trapped in their vehicle. Eventually they were freed. A utility pole was struck in the process and Rhode Island Energy was advised.

Vandalism was reported on Child Street at 8:57 a.m.

Police restored the peace on Market Street following a report of two unruly juveniles at 11:24 a.m.

Police looked for a man who was knocking on car windows asking for money on Metacom Avenue around 3:28 p.m. They didn’t locate him.

Police advised RIDOT that the traffic light at Main and Water Streets was cycling too quickly, following a report from a caller at 4:41 p.m.

Fire volunteers extinguished a small mulch fire on Metacom Avenue at 5:35 p.m.

Friday, May 19
DEM was notified following a vehicular accident with a deer near Metacom Avenue and Vernon Street at 8:13 a.m.

Police searched for a man riding a bicycle on the bike path near the Barrington Town line who was allegedly harassing a woman and her daughter around 4:39 p.m. They didn’t locate him.

Loose cattle was reported on Metacom Avenue at 4:59 p.m. They were eventually returned safely to their field. The officer advised the owner there was a hole in the fence.

A Long Lane resident reported a bag “with needles and a white substance” was sitting on the ground at 6:57 p.m.

Saturday, May 20
A Wood Street resident reported at 10:17 a.m. that a window on their home had been broken.

A caller from Thompson Street reported a possibly sick woodchuck in the area at 10:20 a.m. The animal was gone when units showed up.

Loose cows were again reported on Metacom Avenue at 12:00 p.m. The farmer said they were addressing the issue.

Sunday, May 21
A hit and run incident that began on Arlington Avenue at 1:20 a.m. in Warren was reported. The vehicle proceeded towards Bristol, and their police reported having stopped the suspected vehicle in their town.

Michael Brum, 52, of Bristol, was arrested on Main Street at 4:05 p.m. after a report that someone had taken tip money from a business. He was charged with disorderly conduct, was arraigned and later transported to the ACI.

Corey Sisto, 27, of Warren, was arrested following an incident that occurred on Market Street at 4:08 p.m. where someone reported a man had walked by and struck his car mirror, proceeding to strike other mirrors along his path. He was charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct, and was arraigned and released later that evening.

A caller reported their dog was attacked by two other dogs at the dog park at 4:33 p.m.
