Monday, Nov. 6
Police received a report from Taddy Avenue at 11:33 a.m. that someone had stolen a resident’s dog. It turned out to be a civil issue to be settled without police assistance.
A passerby reported at 4:39 p.m. that a juvenile was climbing the roof of a structure on Asylum Road. While no one was seen on a roof at the scene, police did get someone in the area to admit they had been on the roof. They were advised of the complaint and no damage was found.
Police checked Asylum Road at 4:58 p.m. following a report that someone was in the area of the fields swinging a golf club while walking back and forth. They weren’t found at the scene.
Tuesday, Nov. 7
Police searched for a door-to-door solicitor on Taddy Avenue at 2:19 p.m. but they had gone by the time they arrived.
Wednesday, Nov. 8
A Reservoir Avenue resident reported at 2:05 p.m. that they had fallen victim to a scam.
A Baker Street resident reported at 3:15 p.m. that an item had been stolen from an Amazon delivery.
A Maple Street resident reported at 5:31 p.m. that a license plate had been stolen from their vehicle.
Thursday, Nov. 9
A Market Street shop manager requested a no trespass order at 9:59 a.m. for a customer who had shoplifted a few days prior.
Friday, Nov. 10
A Main Street resident reported at 9:51 a.m. that he had been struck by a truck last night while walking in the area of Main Street, though he was uninjured which is why he didn’t report it at the time of the incident.
A Baggy Wrinkle Cove resident reported credit card fraud at 10:40 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 11
Rhode Island Energy was called after a report from 7:53 a.m. told of a small animal being injured on an electrical line causing a “smoke condition” on Asylum Road.
Daniel Wilkinson, 38, of 20 Croade St., Apt. #1, Warren, was arrested on Metacom Avenue at 4:07 p.m. following the report that someone had hit their vehicle and fled the scene. He was charged with failure to stop for an accident resulting in damage to a vehicle, and was arraigned and released that evening.
Sunday, Nov. 12
Rachael Peden, 38, of 417 Atwells Ave., Apt. #1, Providence, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Market and Handy Streets at 12:52 a.m. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC .15 or greater, first offense). She was arraigned and released later that morning.
Police received a report of two men fighting on Metacom Avenue at 6:13 p.m.
