Warren Police made two arrests and investigated apparent vandalism via a BB gun between May 29 and June 5, 2023.

Monday, May 29
A car struck several parked cars near Water and Bowen Streets at 1:52 p.m.

A Justin Street resident reported at 3:53 p.m. that motorcycles have been using a private path to access a wooded area. Police didn’t find any bikes in the area.

A RIPTA driver reported an unruly passenger causing an issue on a bus near Main and Brown Streets at 6:52 p.m. The man was transported to a rescue after being found unconscious.

A loud party on Broad Street was reported at 8:43 p.m. Police convinced them to turn in for the night.

Tuesday, May 30
A Main Street resident reported their daughter was bit by dog in Bristol the previous day.

A canine reportedly attacked a groundhog on Wood Street at 11:45 a.m.

A Buffalo Avenue resident reported a dirt bike that was speeding up and down the road around 4:46 p.m. but police found no one in the area.

A Market Street resident reported at 5:13 p.m. that their car had been damaged by a BB gun.

A Cherry Street resident reported at 6:10 p.m. that they had left a number of items on a table with a “Free” sign on top. They reported someone took the table as well, which wasn’t meant to be given away.

Other Market Street residents reported damage to their vehicles from what appeared to be caused by a BB gun.

A Company Street resident reported a group of juveniles were lighting fireworks at the end of the road around 10:59 p.m. but police didn’t locate them.

Wednesday, May 31
A caller on Stonegate Road reported there was a raccoon in their vehicle around 8:37 a.m. The animal control officer recommended an exterminator to help with the animal.

An employee of a Market Street business reportedly severed a finger at 10:00 a.m., prompting a rescue call.

Thursday, June 1
A bat landed on an Asylum Road resident and their dog around 1:17 p.m. They were unsure if the bat had bitten either of them.

Friday, June 2
A man on Main Street was transported to the hospital after a passerby noticed them unresponsive on a bench around 1:21 a.m.

A caller reported at 3:29 a.m. that there were several juveniles walking around the area near Market Street and Ellis Avenue looking into vehicles. No one was found in the area.

A man was observed setting up targets to shoot with a crossbow in the tennis court on Market Street at 8:46 a.m. He was advised such activity was not permitted under the law and was dispersed.

A panhandler at Main and Market Streets was reported at 9:29 a.m.

A caller on Water Street reported at 4:34 p.m. that a juvenile had asked to take a photo of her, and then asked her questions about her bank information and making payments through Zelle. Police checked but didn’t find anyone matching the description in the area.

Kenneth Lagrange, 53, of 78 Arlington Ave., Apt. #B, Warren, was arrested on Arlington Avenue at 11:37 p.m. following a call regarding loud yelling coming from an apartment. He was charged with domestic violence (criminal violation of a no contact order, first offense). He was arraigned and transported to the ACI the following morning.

Saturday, June 3
Multiple door alarms at a building on Child Street led police to check for a breaking and entering incident at 1:45 a.m. One officer observed a juvenile running from the scene, but they evaded capture.

Police caught up with the driver of a truck who allegedly struck signs near Kickemuit Road and Arlington Avenue at 9:23 p.m. RIDOT was notified of one damaged sign.

Sunday, June 4
Jocelyn Esqueda, 21, of 25 Steere Ave., Providence, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Kickemuit Road and Meadow Street at 3:04 a.m. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC .15 or greater, first offense). She was arraigned and released to the custody of a friend later that morning.

A Joyce Street residence reported seeing a child with a blowtorch attempting to light a fire around 10:09 a.m. Police didn’t find anything at the scene.
