The following was ascertained from the Warren Police  Logs from September 16-23:

Tuesday, Sept. 17
Warren Police responded to a domestic call in the early morning hours, a female alleging a "verbal argument" with her ex-boyfriend. After further investigation police arrested Wander Billy Garcia, 35, of 167 Camp St, Apt. #3RD, Providence, on the following charges: Domestic Violence - Simple Assault And/Or Battery - 1st Offense; Simple Assault and/or Battery; and Domestic Violence - Disorderly Conduct - 1st Offense.

At approximately 9 a.m. police responded to a call pertaining to possible fraud, forgery, counterfeiting at a Market Street business. An employee reported a customer tried paying with a "fake" $100 bill. The alleged suspect was last seen driving northbound on Market Street in a gray Toyota RAV 4.

Warren Police conducted a vehicle stop at about 10 a.m. on Metacom Avenue. Following a routine review of the driver's information, Wilmar A. Pineda, 36, of 44 Texas Ave Apt. #1, Providence, was arrested on the following charges: Driving With Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License - 4th+ Offense; Bench Warrant Issued From 6th District Court.

At approximately 11:20 p.m., police answered a domestic call on Company Street after the dispatcher noted repeated calls by a female coming from the location but with the calling being non-responsive and hanging up each time. Upon further investigation, WPD arrested Michael B. Young, 50, of 15 Company St., Apt. #2S, Warren, on the following charges: Domestic Violence - Simple Assault And/Or Battery - 1st Offense; Domestic Violence - Vandalism - 1st Offense; and Domestic Violence - Disorderly Conduct - 1st Offense. The suspect was arraigned and released early Wednesday morning, Sept. 18.

Wednesday, Sept. 18
Warren Fire Department crews responded to a report of a "large oil/gas spill" on the Warren River near the Town Wharf at approximately 5 p.m. The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management and the United States Coast Guard were alerted. The boat which caused the spill was located. RIDEM shortly took over command of the scene.

Thursday, Sept. 19
Warren Police responded to a call in the early morning hours of a suspicious vehicle located at Metacom Avenue and Rosa Boulevard. Upon a routine check of the driver's information, officers were alerted to a warrant for the arrest of Sheri L. Richardson, 20 Libby Ln Apt. #H203, Warren, on outstanding charges of Fraudulent Use of Credit Card > 100 in a 6 Month Period, Larceny < $1,500

Later in the afternoon, at 4:14 p.m., an animal complaint services was rendered on Main Street in response to a call from a male reporting "a deer stuck in the fence." WFD was brought in to assist in the extrication, which was "successfully" completed some 15 minutes after the initial call was taken.

Friday, Sept. 20
Warren Police responded to a domestic call just after 4 a.m. on Kickemuit Road. Upon further investigation, officers learned of a disturbance between a parent and child. Samantha Mathias, 22, of 108 Kickemuit Rd Apt. #2B, Warren, was arrested on the following charges: Domestic Violence - Simple Assault and/orr Battery - 1st Offense; Domestic Violence - Vandalism - 1st Offense; Domestic Violence - Disorderly Conduct - 1st Offense.

Sunday, Sept. 22
Town public safety personnel responded to a marine rescue off Touisset Road in the mid-morning hours. A caller reported a boat, a 13-foot 'Blue Whaler," was taking on water near estuary at the point. Just before 10:30 a.m. "Marine 1" located the vessel. Contact was made with the owner. Marine 1 later assisted with pumping water from boat and the owner removed it from the bay. There was no longer a danger of the vessel capsizing.
