The following is a synopsis of Warren Police Department logs from Monday, Feb. 24-Sunday, March 2:

Monday, Feb. 24

From the "good things happen to good people" file, a woman visited the Warren Police Department headquarters at around 5:30 p.m. with a wallet she had found in the area of Touisset Road. An officer subsequently attempted to return the lost to property to its rightful owner, eventually doing so about two hours later.

Tuesday, Feb. 25

Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at 8 a.m. on Railroad Road. Upon arrival they found a male party outside yelling while holding a shovel. Police eventually arrested Nicholas A. Bagley, 44, of Warren with no known address on a charge of alleged disorderly conduct. The man was transported to Second District Court.

At just before 12:30 p.m., police answered a noise complaint call on Market Street. The report indicated a female party was repeatedly driving past the location "blasting" music and beeping the car horn. Police made contact with the driver and advised her of the complaint. She responded by saying she was simply "out for a drive enjoying the day." No further action was reported.

The Warren Fire Department made a run at just after 1 p.m. on Beechwood Court where the caller had reported seeing smoke coming from a residence. Upon arrival, firefighters found "burnt plastic" in a microwave. The appliance was cleared.

Wednesday, Feb. 26

Minutes after midnight, police responded to a road complain for the Department of Public Works at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Kinnicutt Avenue where a couch was left on the side of the road. DPW was called and a message was left to attend to the matter.

Police responded to a call at about 5:45 p.m. reporting a vehicle had struck a sign and left the scene. About 90 minutes later, the person who was driving the vehicle reported he was the operator and that he would come into police headquarters to fill out a statement.

Thursday, Feb. 27

A caller into the department reported a wire was down on Birchswamp Road at just before 10 a.m. A tractor trailer pulled down cable lines. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the lines "hanging low and the pole pulled toward the road." Rhode Island Energy was called and arrived at the scene about an hour later to attend to the matter.

Friday, Feb. 28

Responding to a call requesting a dispersal at around 3:30 p.m. on Main Street, police eventually made an arrest of a Newport man. Upon arrival, officers were told of an "intoxicated male harassing customers." Police arrested Juan Scott, 60, of Newport, on a charge of alleged assault of police officer and other official disorderly conduct.

Saturday, March 1

Arriving at the scene of an accident on Kelly Street at about 2:30 p.m, police found a motorcyclist down and unconscious after apparently being struck by a vehicle. Upon further investigation, police arrested Keion A. Medeiros, 28, of Child Street, Warren on charges of DUI of liquor - blood alcohol concentration unknown - 1st offense; and refusal to submit chemical test. Both were transported to where the alleged perpetrator was delivered a summons.

Sunday, March 2

WFD personnel responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Ridgeway Drive at just before 11 p.m. Firefighters found high levels of the toxin. The residence was vented and the residents were allowed back in for the night.
