Warren Police Log: Officers make domestic, DUI arrests

The following is a synopsis of the Warren Police logs from Monday, April 21-Sunday, April 27:

Monday, April 21
It was a busy morning for the WPD beginning with a call from Barton Avenue at just after 8 a.m. of a suspicious person. A person was seen on camera shining a light on a residence at around 5 a.m. The officer on scene determined it appeared to a delivery driver looking for a residence. The caller requested an extra patrol in the neighborhood the next day.

At approximately 11 a.m. police responded to an accident at Child Street and Arlington Avenue. The caller reported a person on bike struck the mirror of their car and continued on. The caller was tasked with filing a report later in the day.

Just before noontime, police responded to a domestic dispute on Main Street. The incident led to the arrest of Davon M. Silva, 26, of 593 Main St., Apt. 1, Warren on charges of domestic violence - simple assault and/or battery - 1st offense and domestic violence - disorderly conduct - 1st offense.

Wednesday, April 23
Approaching mid-day, police responded to another domestic call from Frank Court at about 11:30 a.m. Upon further investigation police arrested Dylan W. Paiva, 36, of 5 Frank Court, Warren on charges of domestic violence - assault with dangerous weapon in dwelling house, domestic violence - simple assault and/or battery - 1st offense and domestic violence - disorderly conduct - 1st offense.

Thursday, April 24
Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at 8:10 p.m. on Main Street. Upon arrival, the officer on scene found the damaged vehicle smoking. A request was made to Warren Fire Department to contend with the matter as well as send a rescue to evaluate the operator. The vehicle was determined to simply be overheating and the patient refused further medical attention. The vehicle was subsequently moved off the road, awaiting for assistance.

Friday, April 25
In the early morning hours, police eventually arrested a Swansea after arriving on scene of an accident at Metacom Avenue and Franklin Street at just after 2:30 a.m. Anthony Charest, 21, of 29 Oak St., was arrested on charges of DUI of liquor - blood alcohol concentration unknown - 1st offense, obstructing officer in execution of duty, resisting legal or illegal arrest, disorderly conduct and refusal to submit chemical test.

Saturday, April 26
At the scene of another accident, this one at just after 6 p.m. Main and Market Streets, police eventually arrested Robert J. Dolan, 39, of 72 Union St., Warren, on a charge of DUI of liquor - .15 or greater - 1st offense. The vehicle the alleged was driving struck a fire hydrant and he left the scene.
