William Michael Saviano, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Joan (Alderson) Bemis of Candler, N.C. and the late William Louis Saviano of Warren.

William, a lifelong resident of Warren, had moved to Rehoboth, Mass. several years ago to work at Hawkswood Farms as a Handyman. He worked as a Contractor for Brito’s Contracting for many years. He was always known to be very handy and loved working with his hands on all kinds of jobs, from carpentry to mechanic and everything in between.

In addition to his mother, Joan, William is survived by his son, Joshua Melfi and his wife Christy, his sister, Sandra Saviano-Carter and her husband Dennis of North Carolina and two grandchildren, Michael and Mason.

Arrangements are in the care of Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
