Alice Ann McKenney 82, formerly of Tiverton, RI, passed away on August 25, 2021.  She was the widow of Edward J. McKenney III.

Born in Tiverton, she was the daughter of the late Lucy (Fernandes) and Joseph C. Sousa. She was the beloved mother of Edward J. McKenney IV of Fall River (Fiance Betty Amarelo), Allison Acquisto (husband Carlo) of Pascoag, RI.  She was the beloved grandmother of four grandchildren, Carlo and Nina Acquisto, and Morgan and Leah McKenney.  She also leaves her siblings Alfred Sousa of Dighton, Connie Carreiro of Tiverton and Peter Sousa of Newport.  She was the sister of the late Joseph Souza, Lucille St.Laurent and James Sousa.

She was a 1956 graduate of BMC Durfee High School. Alice loved to be surrounded by her family and friends and enjoyed bowling, pitch and golf.  She formerly worked at Brown University, and Edgars and K-Mart Department stores .

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31st  from 4 to 7PM. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 1 at 9 am from the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Road, Tiverton, RI with a Mass at 10 am at St.Christopher's Church.  Burial at Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
